Visit by De Monfort University Leicester, UK Students & Staff

A team of 18 students and 2 staff from De Montfort University (DMU) Leicester, which is a public university in the city of Leicester established in 1992 in England visited DPCG on 10th Jan 2024. The Provost Prof. Janusz Jankowski addressed the team and offered collaboration with DPCG for dual postgraduate programs including PhD. The Interim Head of School of Pharmacy in DMU, Dr. Ahmed Abdoo expressed their interest in collaboration with DPCG and will send a proposal for dual PhD program. The faculty members of DPCG provided a quick orientation to the group and provided a tour of the college facilities. Dr. Ammar, Head of Professional Practice Experience and Dr. Kishore, Head of Department of Pharmacy Practice inquired about their programmatic assessment practices and the quality assurance activities. Dr. Kishore briefed them about the competency-based curriculum assessment plan and inquired about the new skills in vaccination that community pharmacists require to improve. Good practices related to curriculum review and improvement strategies were discussed. The visitors expressed interest in enhancing their collaboration in research related to community pharmacy and offered student exchange programs and experiential training opportunities for students.
